some of the most influential autoharp players were June Carter Cash and Maybelle Carter. Maybelle was Junes mother, she was in a band called the Carter Family ,it was a traditional folk band that recorded from the 1920s to the late 1950s. After that Maybelle played in a band with her children (including June). June Carter Cash played the autoharp later to honer her mother.
